Lower Egg Breakage in Under 7 Days: Real‑Farm Feedback from a Nigerian Layer Farm

Many layer farmers across West Africa face a stubborn, costly problem: broken eggs.

When hens lay eggs with thin, fragile shells, a whole basket of cracked eggs can show up every single day during collection and transport. Those cracked eggs cannot be sold at full price, sometimes they are unsellable at all. For large farms and poultry distributors, that is money lost, every week.

(Before using our feed additive, one full basket of cracked eggs had to be picked out every day.)

After less than one week of use, the number of broken eggs dropped significantly.

Recently we received genuine feedback from one of our cooperating layer farms.

Before using Zhongyi Biological’s layer feed additive, the farm would collect nearly one full basket of broken eggs every day. Just from jostling during the picking‑up process.

After adding our product to feed for less than seven days, the farmer noticed a clear change.

Eggshells became harder and stronger. The number of broken eggs dropped by about half. The same picking, same transport steps, far fewer cracked eggs to throw away or discount.

This is not a marketing promise. It is real, early‑stage observation from a working commercial farm.

At Zhongyi Biological, we are not only a finished‑product supplier.

With more than 20 years of experience in China’s livestock industry, university‑joint R&D programs, and our complete industrial chain, we can produce raw materials as well as finished feed additives.

We know what real farms need, because we have served thousands of Chinese poultry sites for decades. Our repeat purchase rate in the domestic market stays above 95%.

We can also develop and adjust custom formulas, if African distributors or large farms have special requirements for local tropical farming conditions.

We are now looking for reliable long‑term poultry distributors and partners in Nigeria and West Africa.
